    A Short Trip in August – 8.27.22

We never know what might await us as we embark on journeys, even if the journey is a short business trip. This business trip would begin on a Wednesday morning, driving south through South Boston and Danville to Greensboro, where I would speak to a group of CFO’s before heading to Salisbury to have dinner with clients, and then driving the additional hour south to Charlotte, where I would spend some time with my good friend Pete.  The trip would end on Friday with a client meeting in Asheville, North Carolina followed by a 7 hour drive back home.  On Thursday, while meeting with a client, the CEO asked if I…

Great Britain 2022 Trip – July 20 – Bath to London

This morning we attempted to leave our cottage in Bradford on Avon early because we knew we had a full day ahead of us – Stonehenge, Salisbury and it’s Cathedral, dropping our car off at Heathrow, and finding transportation into London, an hour’s drive from the airport. I say attempted because 40 minutes into our drive to Stonehenge, I realized I had left my cell phone at the cottage back in Bradford on Avon. I share this little mishap because as everyone who has ever traveled in close quarters with family members knows, irritability usually ensues. And as my wife and close friends know, my three sons can sometimes tease…
