Thriving During COVID-19

Thriving at Home during COVID-19 in Five Steps 5.1.20

Here are the basics to maintaining your sanity

Clean up after yourself including making your bed

Maintain regular personal hygiene

This includes shaving your face, your legs or both

Keep a daily routine, even a simple one

Stay on a regular sleeping and eating schedule

Finally, accomplish at least one thing each day

Create Time for the Good Stuff

Limit time on Social Media

Limit TV screen time

Limit negative media to one or two times a week

Avoid surfing internet purchase sites

Things do not create joy

Fill that Time and Space with the Good Stuff

Exercise each day

It sucks at first, but it works

Find ways to relax

Maybe yoga, devotionals or even jigsaw puzzles

Read, and then read some more

Write or journal for yourself or to friends

And now, Do the Great Stuff

Be kind to family and your pets

Reach out to at least one friend each day

DO something intentionally good for a person or a group

Find creative ways to connect including technology

Because Social Connection is what we all crave

Use this time to find or expand your purpose

Create at least two weekly obligations

Create projects for yourself

By destroying, organizing or creating

Learn or improve a USEFUL skill

Cooking and gardening are great

Finally, learn or explore something new

Even if you fail at first

Before you know it

You are checking off your bucket list

By creating experiences

By helping others

And in the process

Creating beautiful stories
